The beach was filled with fans of Christina Lake for their annual summer festival. As usual, the Kootenay Robusters dressed up the dragon boat with its head and tail so we could look our best as we took family, friends and visitors out for a short paddle. When temperatures rose we went for a quick shower provided by the Christina Lake fireboat as they demonstrated their water cannon prowess. Homecoming is always a good way for the team to raise awareness of dragon boating and provide those interested with a low risk way to try paddling with us.
