On Saturday, July 13, the Kootenay Robusters Dragon Boat team invited everyone attending the Christina Lake Homecoming event to go for a paddle in their 20 person boat. Most of the guests had never been in a dragon boat before, but quickly caught on and joined in the fun as the boat circled the beach area filled with people enjoying the perfect summer weather. As paddlers passing the bright red Fireboat, they were grateful to be cooled down by the spray from its hose and encouraged by the cheers from those on board.
